Bowie is a poser. He has two eyes. He just knew that the eye-patch is just as awesome as any other fashion accessory. I'll allow it since hes an icon, but he's still two-eyed.

As an adolescent, David Bowie got in a fight where he was punched directly in the eye, his opponent unfortunately wearing a ring, and tearing his cornea. As a result, one of his eyes is permanently dilated. Although he still has vision in the eye, his depth and color perpection are permanently damaged, in addition to the seeing everything blurry. So, though he has two eyes, the eye patch was more than a fashion move.
